How Should I Make My Resume “Pop”
Well
Many so -called “Certified Resume Writers” ( what is that, exactly?) insist on putting fancy colors, icons, graphs, charts in order to make the resume “pop.” Fine. But if the resume has no meaningful content, it is like putting lipstick on a pig.. Also, they figure that the more they put on a resume, the more attractive a candidate you will be. Not so. Managers make their decisions in 30 seconds or less. They want to see where you worked, when you worked there, what your brief job description is, and WHAT YOU ACCOMPLISHED in an easy to read and bulleted format. That’s what makes the resume pop. That’s what gets you the interview.
